Oh! The School of Styling ….such an amazing experience to unplug for 3 days at The Cordell in Nashville with my friends Kristin & Chelsey of By Emily B….we were able to create centerpieces and design tabletops {old hat for Kristin & Chelsey, but a fun challenge for me}, brush calligraphy with Simply Jessica Marie, new headshots with Shalyn Nelson, beautiful food {look at the cookies by Southern Sugar Bakery!} & a delicious and beautifully styled farewell dinner {styled by Stephanie Scholl }….I really only took my camera out on the day we did floral arranging and tabletop….here is my bouquet…which I can see has room for improvement…but it’s pretty cute.
Beyond all the fun & pretty styling, we were challenged to look deep into our hearts and look at our WHY. The lessons I learned from the insanely insightful and funny Jess Connolly & then Shanna Skidmore got us thinking about our dreams & time & money in ways we hadn’t before- and how as entrepreneurs we can plan for the future….so much inspiration and wisdom floating around in my brain!
The incredibly sweet and talented Melissa Broadwell of Vintage Florals was a fabulous instructor.
Next up, Veronica Rogers of Type A Society taught all things table top design…I never realized how much art was involved: color theory, composition, balance, texture….a total eye opener for me
The blue toile tablescape is my design…..Henry’s obsessed with blue & I was drawn to this tablecloth from Nuage Designs –
another attendee commented on how New England it looked, which I didn’t realize when I was putting it together!
The lovely Rebecca of Details By Rebecca had the other half of my table & she gave me lots of pointers :0)
I LOVED this bright tablecloth that Lisa of Mona Lisa Nashville used as her starting point!
This soft, modern & yellow design was by Niki of Seventh Bixel {ummmm…go check out check out this AMAZING
pink vintage camper desert shoot she just had featured on 100 Layer Cake : HERE }
and these antique forks…..so effortlessly and perfectly styled by the one & only Veronica Rogers of Type A Society.
Last up, this romantic design by Laura Kilts of Magnolias Floral

Hi Rodeoandco!!! Absolutely love the photographs . I am Gary with Two Monkeys Vintage, and we would love to use your photographs on our website. Do you have watermarked copies or is a citation enough recognition ? Any chance you could give us access to all of your shots? Would love to give you credit
We would also appreciate a little love on the citation of these photographs as all of the Chargers, plates, flatware, cups, and glasses came from Two Monkeys Vintage.
Love this! Beautiful pictures, and I love the soft feel of them. I always think it’s so impressive when pictures feel soft, but are sharp as a tack at the same time. Excellent job!
Gorgeous! Love the photographs and cannot get over all of those table cloths – they’re BEAUTIFUL! Looks like a really fun conference!!
This looks like a ton of fun and like you learned a lot! 🙂 I wish there was a workshop happening closer to me, because I would totally attend it!
Absolutely gorgeous! Loving all your photos and now you have got me excited to enroll myself into the course myself! Kudos!
