Laura and John had a laid back and fun Diamond Hill Farm wedding, despite the completely unpredictable weather. Although they currently live in Albuquerque, NM, they planned their New Hampshire wedding with the help of the talented Amy Piper of Signature Events. There were many cute nods to their New Mexico home, including red peppers in John’s boutonnière and colorful centerpieces by the Sorella Flower Company.
The ceremony was to be atop a beautiful hill on Diamond Hill Farm under a sweet arbor. Because of the heavy black clouds rolling in, the mountains remained hidden by Mother Nature. Shortly after the ceremony began, the sky opened up and freezing cold hail and sleet forced us all to run for cover in the barn; everyone pitched in to move the arbor and the ceremony resumed without missing a beat. John’s grin and Laura’s twinkling eyes never faltered, and the ceremony was certainly memorable.
After the ceremony, the skies cleared up and we were able to take some portraits outside in a pretty field with gorgeous pops of foliage. Laura’s wedding dress from Anthropologie fit perfectly and was complimented by Chrome Salon’s excellent hair and makeup.
The Chasing Blue Band kept everyone’s spirits up as family and friends surrounded Laura and John for their first dance. Long farmer’s tables encouraged easy conversation and everyone enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Dining By Design. All of the wedding pies were made with love by the family.
