At yoga last week, my instructor {and good friend} Jesse – opened the class with this quote…it really struck me on so many, many levels. As many of you know- in the past year I have been pushing myself as a photographer, a mama, and as a person {drastic diet and lifestyle changes…hello, I’ve been going to YOGA!}. I’ve been putting a lot of energy into learning new techniques- returning to film & introducing my new medium format camera into some of my sessions….this image below from last week was of one of my favorite subjects- Lilla- and was from the first official roll of medium format film that I shot for a client…..pushing myself has been so very rewarding! xo

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?…Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do… It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson
On a personal note: a huge thank you to all of you that have been supporting me and allowing me to explore my passions- you know who you are. xo
Cheers,
Meg
