One of my very best friend’s asked me a while back if I’d do some boudoir shots for her as a surprise for her husband…..I’m not sure who was more nervous, me or Jolene….I’ve spent the last few months studying boudoir shots and reading up on how to have a successful session. Jolene & another one of our bestest friends, both posed for the session…which helped to keep the mood fun & light…and it was awesome to have another friend re-assuring the “models” how fabulous they really did look!

As many as you know, I much prefer to use natural light when ever possible. The room that we picked out at the Bishop Farm Bed & Breakfast was bathed in beautiful light- which made my job lots easier…and offers a much more flattering softness to the photos.

I really, honestly, did not think that I would like shooting boudoir…in fact, I was kind of terrified….but after about 30 minutes, I realized that I LOVED it. To make images for someone to give to their significant other is so special- and I feel blessed that I was able to do this….we all know that in 30 years there will be no regrets!

Jolene’s hair and makeup were done at Fresh Salon & Day Spa…the lashes were amazing…and gave her a huge boost!

I brought my own Garnet Hill Eileen Fisher silk comforter – it added a level of luxury & photographed SO WELL!

Jolene, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me share these crazy-beautiful images of you with the world….I’m so excited for more boudoir sessions! xoxo

p.s. Jolene’s super cute black outfit- TARGET
