Welcome to Freeport, Maine: home of L.L. Bean, lobsters, blueberries, salty air, and Cara & James’  destination wedding.

Cara’s reveal to her girls was just like out of a dream. Hilariously, perfect how each of them had a different reaction.

No words for her bouquet.. so classic.

James’ sweet Uncle cruised us around the harbor on an absolute perfect summer day in Maine.

A sweet note from Cara’s mom:

Dear Meg,

I just want to thank you for sharing your God given gifts with us at Cara’s wedding. You and Arinn were so professional, so discreet, respectful of each environment you found yourself in. You helped when advice was needed and were just kindness itself.  God bless you both.  Erin Read

and a note from Cara & James:

Meg deserves more than a five-star rating! Not only is she incredibly talented and produces breathtaking work, she’s an amazing person and delightful to work with. Meg traveled all the way to D.C. from New Hampshire for our engagement photos and spent the entire day driving around the city to take photos. Almost a year later we still get compliments on our engagement photos. Come wedding weekend, Meg and her assistant made the photo taking process easy, exciting, and fun. I’ve been in a number of weddings where it seems the portrait and group photo process goes on and on, but not with Meg, she was quick and efficient. Meg even road on a boat with us (and got amazing shots), yet we still were able to enjoy part of the cocktail hour. Without question we would recommend Meg to any engaged couple! We’ll miss working with her, and hope she will shoot our friends and sibling’s future weddings.

Have you seen the Audrey Hepburn movie “Sabrina” —- Cara had me watch it prior to the wedding- as it was a huge source of inspiration for her dream…. guests spilling out on to the lawn to dance under twinkle lights and stars…  It now ranks as one of my all-time favorite movies.  xoxo
